Old School Chainstitch Hemming Service
Old School Chainstitch Hemming Service
Done on a 1950s Mauser Spezial AA-A — the real deal.
Give your jeans that true vintage finish with an authentic chainstitch hem, sewn on my restored 1950s Mauser Spezial. This is the same type of stitch used on classic denim from the golden age of American manufacturing.
What Can I Hem
- Denim up to 21 oz maximum
- I match the original look and thread color as closely as possible.
- If you're unsure about the oz weight, you can search the brand online or email me, and we will figure it out.
How it Works
Purchase the Hemming Service
Select your desired length below, or cuff your jeans at the length you would like me to hem before shipping them to me—instructions on how to do so are below.
Ship your jeans/pants to: 8092 S Yale Ave, #2, Tulsa, OK 74136, United States. Your return label is already covered.
Local customers can arrange a drop-off/pick-up. Email info@bzroclothing.com to arrange.
Prepare Your Jeans
Jeans must be brand new or freshly washed. I can't accept unwashed or soiled denim.
Set Your Desired Length
Option 1: Fold the hem up to the desired height, and pin or cuff both legs evenly.
Option 2: Measure your inseam length and select your desired length below, or write it on a note and include the note with your jeans.
Turn Around Time
Once I receive your garment, I'll have it hemmed and send it back to you within 2-4 days. If I receive your garment on a Friday or Saturday, the turnaround time will be 4-5 days.
How to Measure Your Inseam
- Grab a pair of jeans that fit you perfectly.
- Lay them flat on a table or floor, smoothing out wrinkles.
- Measure from the crotch seam down to the bottom of the leg along the inside seam.
- If you would like room for a cuff, please include that in the measurement.
- That number (in inches) is your inseam. Example: 30" inseam. With cuff, 30" inseam + 4" cuff = 34".
